The Dance Theatre of Tennessee and Youth Ensemble is the official home of our Academy of performing arts. The Academy is a progressive arts studio located in the heart of the historic Donelson/Hermitage/Opryland area of Nashville. It offers world-class instructors, numerous performance opportunities, and a warm, nurturing environment for its students.

Additionally, it was named one of the top three dance schools in Metro Nashville in 2009 by Nashville Parent Magazine – an incredible achievement considering this recognition comes after its first full year of operation.

The Academy offers classes from ages two to adult. Whether you are a recreational dancer looking for an outlet to express your creativity or the serious dancer with professional aspirations, our Academy of performing arts is for you.
